TITLE: Workers’ Compensation Associate Attorney
REPORTS TO: Workers’ Compensation Department Lead Attorney
SALARY: Competitive salary commensurate with experience

Requirements: MUST have an active Bar license in Missouri and Kansas.

Purpose and Value to the Team:
As a Workers’ Compensation Associate, you will handle all aspects of representing clients in their Work Comp matters from the moment the case opens, through each case resolution. This position will also provide direction and supervision to non-attorney staff ensuring adherence to all Workers’ Compensation laws, regulations, and labor codes.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Proactively communicating with clients to provide updates and claim status
- Interacting and negotiating with insurance companies
- Drafting case materials, correspondence, pleadings, motions, settlement agreements and other legal documents as required
- Ensure accuracy of all documents prepared
- Comply with all legal standards and regulations
- Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and other various proceedings

- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs – Excel, Word, SharePoint, etc.
