Previous workers’ compensation law firm experience required.
Prior supervisory, team leadership, training, or mentoring experience strongly preferred.
Job Overview: The Workers’ Compensation Team Lead is responsible for leading, developing, and supporting a team of Case Managers while helping drive the overall success of the department. This role provides coaching, training, and performance guidance, partners with leadership on process improvements, and maintains an active caseload to ensure efficient case management and a positive client experience.
We are seeking an experienced workers' compensation professional who is passionate about developing people, improving processes, and delivering exceptional client service. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of workers' compensation case management within a law firm environment and is comfortable coaching others, providing guidance, and leading by example.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention of Case Managers and Legal Assistants.
Conduct regular coaching, performance discussions, and development planning for team members.
Train new team members and maintain department training materials and procedures.
Quality & Process Management
Review case files and case management activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to firm standards.
Identify workflow challenges, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery, and case outcomes.
Develop and maintain department procedures, best practices, and process documentation.
Client Service & Operations
Serve as a resource and escalation point for complex case management and client service issues.
Monitor team productivity, caseload distribution, and service levels to ensure departmental goals are met.
Track department metrics and recommend improvements to enhance performance and the client experience.
Collaborate with attorneys, management, and other departments to support efficient case handling and operational success.
